The Course
Seven thousand yards of West Texas
Desert Pines plays 7,205 yards from the back tees — long enough to test anyone who wants the challenge, and forgiving enough from the forward markers to be a good walk for the rest of us. Par 72, eighteen holes, in a landscape that does the scenery without any help.
The pro shop keeps rental clubs and carts on hand, so you can arrive with nothing and still play. Green fees start at $20 for twilight rounds after five.

Single, family and senior memberships, from $40 a month. Cart sheds available for members who keep their own cart at the course.

School events, scrambles and charity days
Desert Pines hosts tournaments through the season — school teams, two- and three-person scrambles, and the Memorial each September.

No. Desert Pines is open to the public seven days a week. Membership is worth considering if you play often — it covers green fees and opens up cart storage.

Yes. Adult club rentals are $20 and junior sets are $10. Carts are $20 for eighteen holes, $10 for nine.
The clubhouse room rents for $200, which includes a $50 cleaning deposit returned if the space is left tidy. Call to check dates.
